South Africa is often considered the jewel of the African continent.  Its natural and diverse beauty continues to enthral those who explore this exquisite tip of Africa, renowned for its warm hospitality.  From classic African bushveld to golden savannahs, dramatic gorges and dragon-backed mountain ranges – this country is nothing less than spectacular.

Wildlife lovers are spoilt for choice with the big-name parks like the Kruger National Park and the Kgalagadi (Kalahari) Transfrontier Park, boasting the ‘Big Five’: lion, buffalo, leopard, rhino, and elephant.  South Africa is also home to some of the world’s most luxurious private game reserves and lodges.

One of Africa’s best kept secrets, Botswana, is a revered game viewing destination.  This landlocked country is dominated by the stark and dramatic landscapes of the vast Kalahari Desert and plays host to the mystical Makgadikgadi Salt Pans – the last remnants of a lake, once the largest in Africa.

Botswana has set the standard for nature conservancy and mitigation of rhino poaching with more than 25 percent of the land area set aside for parks and reserves. It is blessed with some of Africa’s most beautiful reserves, an astounding array of wildlife and is shaded with rich textures and contrasts.   From the crystal-clear waters, meandering lagoons and swamps of the Okavango Delta to the Chobe National Park home to the highest concentration of African elephants.

An astonishingly beautiful African country, rich in natural and mineral resources and home to a hard-working population. Despite the political turmoil in past years, it remains a popular and rewarding destination.  Much of Zimbabwe’s tourism industry pivots around its incredible natural splendour.  Tourists are attracted to the huge diversity of environments, and the amazing cultural, wildlife and landscape heritage.

Encompassing many ecosystems, landlocked Zimbabwe is home to the Victoria Falls, ‘the smoke that thunders’, the Eastern Highlands mountain range, Lake Kariba, the largest ancient structure south of the Sahara at Great Zimbabwe and National Parks host to a great variety of wildlife species.

Namibia is a vast country dominated by the Namib Desert, an extensive inland plateau and stunning geological mountain ranges. This diverse typography ranges from the lush, northern Caprivi Strip and the wildlife of Etosha National Park to the dry Namib Desert and the desolate Skeleton Coast. The golden and majestic sand dunes of Namibia are starkly contrasted by dramatic sunsets and its tempestuous coastline, making it the perfect canvass for avid photographers.

Experience the haunting silence of the Kalahari Desert and spot one of 430 bird species in the Caprivi region, search for desert elephants in Damaraland and interact with the astonishing Himba community.  Besides the opportunity to see Africa’s Big 5, Namibia is the last place on earth where black rhino roam freely across communal land and is only one of two countries in the world that are home to the desert-dwelling elephant.

One of the most popular Indian Ocean Islands, this enchanting country offers a treasure trove of charming discoveries.  The island is characterised by its endless white beaches, warm ocean, welcoming locals and mouth-watering cuisine.  The magnificent transparent waters are an irresistible invitation for swimming, snorkelling and diving to admire the extraordinarily beautiful coral reef and the mesmerising marine life.  Migrating whales can also be spotted in season.

The vibrant towns and cities feature a rich diversity of history and colourful cultures reflected in the architecture. Here the pulse of daily life in the markets, museums, bars and restaurants is palpable.
